Peter Aschauer is selling a controlling stake in his 30-year-old avalanche airbag company, ABS Peter Aschauer, to Spin Capital. The Munich-based investment company will take over operative responsibility but will continue to work with Aschauer on a partnership basis. Stefan Mohr, chief executive of Spin, which is an abbreviation for sport investment, will take responsibility for the company, which will be renamed as ABS Protection. Spin wants to step up marketing and expand the product portfolio.
