Adidas has decided that the proprietary Stealth Rubber soles of Five Ten will only be used in Adidas and Five Ten products in the future. The technology is featured in a range of Adidas outdoor shoes that has been presented to the trade for the spring/summer 2014 season. In the past, Five Ten made the technology available to other brands such as Astral, Chaco, Teva and Vasque. Based in California, Five Ten launched the Stealth compound for its climbing shoes in 1985. The family-owned company was bought by Adidas in 2011 for $25 million.
