At Ispo, Sympatex will introduce a new technology for footwear called “Moisture Tech.” The innovation promises improved breathability thanks to an optimized deduction of humidity. A new layer in-between makes sure that moisture is transferred to the membrane in a broader way to facilitate the exit of the humidity. According to company information, “Moisture Tech” also ensures that moisture is removed from the taped parts of the shoe and redistributed to other parts where the laminate works perfectly. In conventional footwear, the breathability of the laminate is eliminated at the spots where the upper is taped. Simultaneously, Sympatex has announced its new partnership with Chiemsee, a German brand of boardsports apparel.
