Climbing Technology (by Aludesign SpA), the Italian specialist in protective products for mountaineering, sport climbing and safety while working at height, has launched Quarzo, a lightweight single-buckle harness specifically designed for sport climbing. Quarzo, which can be used for both indoor and cliff climbing, weighs only between 290g (size XS) and 370g (XL) as its internal structure has been designed to evenly distribute weight, explains the company. Furthermore, the reduced belay loop dimensions are meant to make the tying-in and the use of compact carabiners and lanyards easier.
