In 2021, the European Outdoor Group (EOG) and EDM Publications (EDM), publisher of The Outdoor Industry Compass (OIC) and SGI Europe, among others, will build on an already existing successful relationship and together will reach even bigger audiences with business information and news about the industry. Most recently, EOG and EDM have cooperated to support the European Outdoor Summit (EOS), and now they have agreed to enhance this partnership. EDM will be the official international media partner for EOS and work closely with the EOG’s events team to promote and report on the summit.
EOG will also provide EDM with regular editorial content and comment for inclusion in The Outdoor Industry Compass from both its own projects and those of associated organizations, such as the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA), It’s Great Out There Coalition and The Microfibre Consortium. The material will include a regular column for OIC’s monthly Executive Editions. Also included in the collaboration is promoting EOG’s industry-leading State of Trade market research program and the recruitment of new participants for the project.
Arne Strate, EOG general secretary, commented: “The European Outdoor Group and EDM Publications have worked closely together for many years, so we’re really happy to enhance the relationship for the benefit of each other and the whole industry. Like our many other partnerships, this reflects the spirit of collaboration that was the founding principle of the EOG and provides both organizations with an excellent opportunity to reach and influence new audiences with important projects, campaigns and shared messages.”
Krischan Hertle, managing director of Munich-based EDM Publications, said: “Since the launch of OIC in 2008, EDM has analyzed the global outdoor market and reported about the industry. We have worked closely with EOG for many years and are now excited to deepen the cooperation. Teaming up with EOG will allow us to provide our readers with additional content, research and analysis, giving EOG and associated organizations the possibility to reach a wider audience.”
