Fischer Sports has reopened its Fischer Grants Program to promote skiing in the U.S., with a focus on youth, underserved ski populations, snowmaking and education. Applications for funding and equipment will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout winter 2020. The first Fischer grants went to Duluth Cross Country for its snowmaking project and to the Nordic Ski Association of Anchorage for its youth programs. Another grant has gone to the Rochester Area Ski Trails Association (R.A.S.T.A.) for its community backcountry efforts. Fischer is privately held and employs about 2000 people.
