Garmin is expanding its solar product portfolio and now offers even more watches with an integrated, transparent solar charging lens that uses solar energy. In addition to a significantly extended battery life, some models also come with new features. The popular fēnix 6 series is now available as a complete solar collection, including the fēnix 6S and the fēnix 6. Together with Garmin’s Power Manager, the watches become real endurance athletes with up to 16 days of battery power in Smartwatch mode (fēnix 6 Solar). The watch now also comes with three additional sports profiles: surfing, mountain biking and climbing. The new Instinct Solar even manages up to 68 days in expedition mode with sufficient sunlight, and 54 days in Smartwatch mode. If you use the Battery Saver mode, solar charging becomes completely sufficient, according to Garmin.
