Heimplanet, the small marketer of inflatable tents, won the golden Design Prize of the Federal Republic of Germany 2012 in the product design category yesterday. The jury granted the award to the tent “The Cave,” which was a winner of the Ispo Brandnew awards two years ago. The company is run by its founders, Stefan Clauss and Stefan Schulze Dieckhoff from Hamburg, who have added more products to their collection of hardgoods meanwhile to combine outdoor spirit, lifestyle and state-of-the-art design. The Design Prize has been put out by the Federal Minister for Economy and Technology since 1969. Heimplanet secured the title against 700 applications and finally 72 nominees.
