Karpos has announced Matteo Della Bordella as a new brand ambassador. Della Bordella, an expert mountaineer, is the president of the Ragni di Lecco, the legendary mountaineering club that was founded back in 1946, based in Lecco, Italy. The partnership with Karpos will also see Della Bordella involved in testing and developing new designs for the brand's garments. Della Bordella, 34, who is also an industrial engineer, started climbing at the age of 12 in the Italian Alps. He joined the Ragni di Lecco in 2006. Over the years, he has climbed in remote areas like Patagonia, Greenland, Pakistan, India and Baffin Island. Meanwhile, Adidas has put an end to an eight-year-old sponsorship agreement with the Ragni di Lecco, whose name can be translated as the “spiders of Lecco.”
