The Austrian ski brand Kästle has signed equipment contracts with the Swiss Ski Pool and the Austria Ski Pool. Only a year ago, Kästle was able to celebrate its comeback in the Alpine Ski World Cup. Kästle’s World Cup athlete Adriana Jelinkova from the Netherlands won the North America Cup in giant slalom, and Alain Zurbriggen made some noise after switching to the ski brand that his famous father Pirmin Zurbriggen skied on in the 1980s. For the upcoming winter, Kästle has now signed the Swiss giant slalom specialist Cédric Noger as well as Mathias Graf, the brand’s first Austrian European Cup athlete with World Cup experience. Kästle has already cooperated with Marker in the binding sector and Dalbello in the boot sector for its World Cup activities. Now Lange will be the second ski boot brand to join the team.
Clemens Tinzl, Kästle’s managing director, said: “We are now concentrating on product tests and the production of the racing skis, which are all manufactured at our headquarters in Hohenems. Our goal is to build up a small but fine team of athletes with the utlimate dream of winning a medal on Kästle at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing.”
It was only in May that Kästle signed an equipment contract with the German Ski Association (DSV) for cross-country skiing, biathlon, Nordic combined and ski jumping.
