McTrek, the German low-budget retail chain of outdoor goods, has teamed up with Licher, one of the country's breweries, for a joint marketing campaign during 2013. Customers who turn in Licher bottle caps at 10 select McTrek stores will get outdoor gear in return. A wash bag by Jack Wolfskin is worth 120 bottle caps, a hiking pack by Vaude is 240 caps, and a softshell jacket provided by Campagnolo is available for 380 caps. Altogether, Licher is producing 40 million bottles capped with that marketing tool. McTrek expects up to 50,000 customers equipped with bottle caps during the course of the marketing campaign, which runs from March 1 through June 29.
