Merrell and Honey Stinger – the producer of honey, honey-flavored snacks and honey-themed apparel, with headquarters in Steamboat Springs, Colorado – have collaborated on a limited-edition trail shoe. The Merrell Agility Synthesis is lightweight and made with ecologically friendly materials “where possible.” The upper and outsole, for instance, are partly recycled – the former woven with performance yarns into a golden honeycomb theme, the latter made with sticky rubber for traction. The midsole is made of Bloom algae foam. The shoe is on sale on merrell.com for $120.
