Mountain Equipment is expanding its Earthrise collection to include sleeping bags filled with recycled down from the Down Cycle Project, which the company launched in 2017. According to Mountain Equipment, the down is post-consumer recycled down that is collected throughout Europe and reprocessed in a European facility with extremely efficient water recycling, offering a fill power of 700 cuin. The lining and outer fabric of the sleeping bags are also made from recycled yarns. There are two models in the line, offered in men’s and women’s versions. In addition to the sleeping bags, the Earthrise series so far consists of two down vests and two down jackets.
