Osprey, the backpack brand from Colorado, announced that their Cortez-based warranty and repair team will work exclusively sewing fabric masks for healthcare workers and first responders in and around the brand’s neighborhood. The masks are being distributed to Southwest Memorial Hospital as well as the local health department that supplies home health care and nursing homes in the area. Osprey’s team will be able to produce approximately 100 fabric masks a day by the end of this week. According to Osprey, the masks, made out of durable fabrics to sustain multiple wash cycles, can be worn over the N95 medical-grade mask.
