Peter Schlickenrieder is the new brand ambassador for Suunto, the sports instruments brand owned by the Amer Sports group. Schlickenrieder has already been brand ambassador for Salomon, which is part of the same group, since 2007. He started to promote Suunto's Spartan Ultra GPS watch for athletic and adventure multisport this past summer. Schlickenrieder is a German cross-country skier who competed internationally from 1992 to 2002. He won the silver medal in the individual sprint at the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. Since 2002, he has been working as an expert and co-presenter on TV. He has launched a German cross-country ski portal, xc-ski.de, and an international outdoor platform, mountix.com. Today, he works as a film producer, speaker and adventurer.
