Vaude announces the voluntary product recall of the Cushion Frog (Cushion Frog art.no. 11861, sold with the Shuttle Premium art.no. 11778). The company determined that products sold between February 2015 and March 2020 contain a material that has elevated levels of pollutants (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons, PAH). The threshold value according to REACH regulation were exceeded. There is no immediate danger to the health of the users or their children. The material is used on the back of the cushion attachment, meaning neither the child nor the adult carrying the backpack are in direct skin contact.

Vaude offers a free exchange of the Cushion Frog. Consumers are asked not to dispose of the Cushion Frog cushion attachment themselves, but to return it to an official Vaude retail partner immediately if the Cushion Frog was purchased after February 2015. This is the only way the brand can analyze the incoming products once again and identify further potential for improvement.
