Alchemy Equipment, the New Zealand brand of urban outdoor products, sealed a distribution agreement with Agentur79, a German-based agency, to cover the three German-speaking markets. Alchemy Equipment's European sales are to be backed up by a European warehouse, which should be operational for the fall/winter 2017 deliveries, probably in the Netherlands. It will support the German agency and probably others, as Alchemy Equipment is in advanced talks with potential partners in France and the Benelux countries, and is searching for others in the U.K. and Scandinavia. Agentur79 was established by Patrick Heinisch, former sales representative for Spyder, to handle sales of Alchemy Equipment. Starting with the fall/winter 2017 range, Agentur79 has already appointed other regional sales people to help market the New Zealand brand: Dijana Perkovic from Transonic Trade will represent Alchemy Equipment in Switzerland, while Holger Befeld from 69 Distribution will take over Bavaria and Handelsagentur Britta Schlapp will manage sales in Baden-Wuerttemberg from her showroom in Sindelfingen. Heinisch himself will manage sales in the remaining areas until more reps come on board in early 2017. Frank Spiewack, vice president of global sales, has been building up international sales for Alchemy Equipment in the last two years, leading to partnerships in South Korea and Canada earlier this year.
