Camp Base, a fast-growing Spanish outdoor retailer, has taken over Intemperie, an important, 700-square-meter outdoor and running store in Barcelona. According to CMD Sport, Camp Base recorded a 70 percent sales increase to €2.17 million in 2017, thanks in part to the acquisition of other stores with the backing of new minority shareholders. It also formed last year a partnership with a bicycle retailer, Ravet Bike. Born in 2014, Camp Base expects to have a network of nine stores in Catalunya and the Basque region by the end of this year.
