Le Chameau, a French boot brand, has entered into a joint venture with Bradshaw Taylor Ltd., an outdoor distribution specialist in Oakham, U.K. Le Chameau’s owner, Marwyn Investment LLP, and Bradshaw Taylor have signed a corresponding agreement. Bradshaw Taylor, a fourth-generation family business, is a successful distribution company of outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment in the U.K. and Europe. With the new partnership, Le Chameau will become part of Bradshaw Taylor’s brand portfolio, alongside Keen, Icebreaker and Schöffel Country as well as young labels, such as Sherpa Adventure Gear and Tentree, through which the company operates throughout Europe. Bradshaw Taylor’s chairman, Corry Taylor, will be chief executive of the joint venture. Le Chameau was founded in 1927 by Claude Chamot in Cherbourg, France, and is best known for handmade boots made of natural rubber.
