Mammut has teamed up with Frank Wichern as its field area manager for the Benelux countries, as the Swiss brand's distribution partnership for the region came to an end at the start of this year. Wichern previously worked for Mammut Nederland, a trading name for the Dutch agency that handled Mammut in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Sport Partner adds that sales activities in the Benelux countries are to be supervised from Germany by Rob van Dinter, the Swiss brand's head of field sales in Germany, and that the German office will take care of operations for the Benelux countries. The former Mammut Nederland will continue to operate in the Dutch market under the name of RB Agenturen, led by Ron and Deborah van der Brugge. The company is the Dutch distribution partner for Trangia, the Swedish stove brand, and DMM, the specialist in climbing equipment. Furthermore, Deborah van der Brugge will continue to handle sales of Mammut products to corporate customers. Ron van der Brugge said the time had come for a change after a partnership of nearly 28 years.
