Martes Sport, the Polish sports wholesaler and retailer, has obtained a distribution agreement to start selling Icepeak in the country from the start of this year. The Finnish outdoor brand was previously distributed in Poland by Ski Team, a specialist retail chain. Martes is the Polish distributor for Arena, Colmar, Iguana and Nike accessories, as well as the distributor and footwear licensee of the Hi-Tec brand for Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the Ukraine. Just as importantly, in the last five years Martes has built up a network of 68 multi-brand stores and nine outlets, most of them in secondary Polish towns. The hard-hitting company is well on track to reach its target of having 100 stores around Poland by the end of the year.
