Ortovox, the specialist in wool clothing and alpine safety gear, started a campaign on April 3 to support local retailers via its digital channels and the brand’s online shop. Accordingly, 25 percent of all sales from the Ortovox web store go to the authorized specialist retail partners. End consumers decide for themselves which retailer they would like to support: Each participating Ortovox retailer receives an individual code, which the customer enters in the online shop before checkout. Christian Schneidermeier, managing director of Ortovox said: ”In addition to measures to protect our own employees and the company, we are also committed to supporting our retail partners who are struggling to survive.” Ortovox Sportartikel GmbH, with 120 employees worldwide and headquarters in Taufkirchen near Munich, is part of Schwanhäußer Industrie Holding, which also owns the Deuter, Maier Sports and Gonso brands.
