Sport Schuster, the large German sporting goods retailer based in downtown Munich, is starting the celebration of its 100th anniversary by closing a shop, a single-brand store of The North Face with a selling surface of 280 square meters. The store, where clearance sales are being held now, will be taken over by the brand's own operations located in the same building. Schuster will concentrate on its core business, which is the big store of 5,000 square meters close to Marienplatz; the online shop; and Sport Münzinger, a prestigious store around the corner that was acquired 10 years ago and revamped last year. With the facelift of the Münzinger store, Schuster decided to shut down the integrated Lacoste mono-brand shop.
