Stadium, Sweden’s largest sports and sports fashion chain, is opening a Stadium Outlet in the Lugnetrondellen shopping center in Varberg in September 2020. The new outlet is the chain’s first store in Varberg, a coastal town 80 km south of Gothenburg. The lease covers an area of 1,351 square meters in the shopping center, which is owned by the Norwegian real estate company Aspelin Ramm Fastigheter. With its Stadium sports shops, Stadium Outlets and Sneakers Point stores, Stadium has a total of around 180 shops in Sweden, Finland, Germany and Norway. The group also includes Stadium Sports Camp, which is Sweden’s largest sports camp and has around 8,000 participants annually. The family-owned group has almost 4,000 employees and reported net sales of SEK 6.1 million (€581,558-$655,877) in 2018/2019.
