The Swix Sport Group is changing its name to Brav, because it has turned into a company with multiple outdoor and winter sports brands. They generate annual sales in the range of one billion Norwegian kroner (€105.0m-$122.6m), about half of them outside of Norway. The Swix Sport Group was formed around the Swix brand of ski wax, but it has grown to encompass Lundhags, Toko, Ulvang, Helsport, Hard Rocx, Skisporet and Original. It has subsidiaries in eight countries and distribution in 30 markets. The company explained that the Brav name was to suggest decisive action, courage, stamina and integrity. Picked out of more than 100 suggestions, with the digital involvement of over 300 employees, the name has been launched in conjunction with a new value platform and graphic profile.
