The Wolverine 1883 shoe collection is the first collection of Wolverine Worldwide to be produced in Portugal. Last autumn, the company added Portugal as new sourcing country. The 1883 collection will be available from autumn this year. The company aims to expand the production in Portugal if it proves to be successful. The Wolverine brand opened a pop-up store in New York in September 2012 that was scheduled to stay open until the end of February 2013. However, it could be changed to a permanent store in the future, as it has been well received. Other like-minded brands are also sold in the store. Wolverine plans to expand the concept.
