Attendance was relatively stable and the mood was generally positive at Ispo Munich, in spite of the recent snow situation and the uncertain economy. As an Italian put it, many came over just to look at the latest novelties, to get an overview of the sector and to recharge their energies. Without giving out precise figures yet, Messe München says the fair recorded a total of around 80,000 daily visits, which would compare with the record high level of 81,928 visits a year ago. Like last year, many trade professionals decided to stay one day longer. The biggest increases in attendance stemmed from the Russian Federation, the U.S., Turkey, Canada and China. The show was again very international, as 65 percent of the visitors, as well as 83 percent of the 2,344 exhibitors, came from outside Germany. A survey of the visitors indicated that 70 percent of them found this year's edition to have been very good or excellent, and another 28 percent found it good. Furthermore, 51 percent felt that Ispo Munich would continue to gain importance as the leading international sports business platform.
