After the major increase that it recorded in 2018, the Outdoor segment of the Swiss Conzzeta Group, which consists essentially of the Mammut Sports Group, booked nearly flat sales in the first quarter of 2019. In reported terms, they grew by 0.3 percent to 70.8 million Swiss francs (€62.0m-$69.5m). No details were given, but the segment performed better than all the others, which instead recorded sales declines. Across the group, sales were off by 8.4 percent to CHF 394.4 million (€345.2m-$387.1m), and they were down by 9.1 percent on a comparable basis, excluding foreign currency adjustments and the disposal of the Glass Processing segment, which has concluded on April 1, yielding a capital gain of at least CHF 28 million (€24.5m-$27.5m).
