American Outdoor Brands, the company previously called Smith & Wesson, has decided to set up a new logistics and customer service center, located at a new distribution center in the Columbia area of Boone County, Missouri, as it gets ready to implement a plan to acquire some outdoor brands. The new division will be headed up by Lewis Hornsby, who previously worked for Vista Outdoor as senior director and vice president of global distribution, transportation and logistics. The 500,000-square-foot distribution center is set to become operational in 2018. Hornsby joined Vista in 2016 when it acquired the Action Sports division of BRG Sports. He previously worked for Kraft Foods and DHL.
