Archroma, a global company specializing in color and specialty chemicals, has announced the acquisition of an additional 26 percent stake in M. Dohmen, an international group specializing in the production of textile dyes and chemicals. The two companies will now operate as partners in serving the textile market, making the most of product portfolios which are said to complement each other. Archroma acquired 49 percent of the shares of M. Dohmen in 2014, and now owns a 75 percent participation in the company. Following the transaction, Alexander Wessels, Archroma's chief executive, has been appointed as chairman of M. Dohmen, taking over from Manfred Dohmen himself, the group's founder, who will continue as a member of the board. M. Dohmen has production facilities in Switzerland, Germany and Korea, and sales organizations in Germany, Italy, the U.S., China and Korea. The global head office for the group is in Korschenbroich, Germany.
