Bluesign Technologies has appointed Jill Dumain as its new chief executive, effective January 2017. She replace Peter Waeber, who will retire at the end of the year, while remaining a member of Bluesign Technologies' advisory board. Dumain is currently Patagonia's director of environmental strategy. She has been with Patagonia for 27 years, overseeing the transition to organic cotton, The Footprint Chronicles, The Common Threads Recycling Program, and the introduction of Bluesign tools and systems. She has also held board and leadership roles at the Organic Exchange, Textile Exchange and the Sustainability Working Group at the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA).
