Maier Sports, the German brand of snow and outdoor wear, has created a new joint venture with a Chinese partner, Sunrise, in Xiamen. It is the new company's mission to sew samples and to take care of the sourcing in the Far East. The office employs 20 people who will take care of placing orders for currently 600,000 pieces per year. That corresponds nearly to a doubling of the capacities compared with previous years. The office also serves Gonso, Maier Sports' label of bike and running wear that Maier acquired in 2004
