After extending its current business by a new logistics hall in 2018, P.A.C., a manufacturer of headwear and socks, founded in 2012 in southern Germany, is now adding another 6,000 sqm of production and logistics space and 1,100 sqm of office space for up to 200 employees. The family-owned company is focusing on sustainability and environmental compatibility. Apart from the fact that the 25,000 sqm site offers sufficient space for future growth and further construction phases, P.A.C. would like to make its headwear manufacturing even more sustainable than before and, above all, CO2-neutral. Lukas Weinmann, the founder of the company, explains: “As an example, we will generate most of our energy ourselves and use state-of-the-art energy management for our heating and cooling.” The new company headquarters, which Weinmann likes to call the “Green Factory”, also offers charging stations for electric vehicles and an outdoor recreation area in the immediate vicinity. When the new factory is completed by the end of 2020, P.A.C. plans to open one of the most sustainable and modern textile production facilities in Germany. The investment is not insignificant for the medium-sized company, but Weinmann is counting on his established team and believes in supporting the local economy.
