Like many other companies, Vibram has been hit hard by the current Covid-19 pandemic. Both the research center and production at the Vibram Tech Center in Guangzhou, China, were closed for almost 10 weeks and are now operating at about 80 percent capacity. The production site in Albizzate, near Milan, Italy, is still closed.

Despite the difficult economic situation, and to send a positive signal to its employees, the Italian brand has paid its production staff a bonus intended to reward the successes achieved in 2019. In a further contribution to the fight against the pandemic, the family-owned company has voluntarily disinfected all production sites. Vibram had decided to close its plants before the relevant government decree.
