Oeko-Tex, an association of 18 independent research and testing institutes worldwide, which sets standards for more safety in products of the textile and leather industry and their manufacture, is participating in Amazon’s Climate Pledge Friendly program with Oeko-Tex’s Made in Green label. The program is being launched in Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Great Britain and is designed to make it easier to find and purchase sustainable products. The Climate Pledge Friendly label, which will identify more than 40,000 products in Europe in the fashion, cosmetics, food, household and electronics sectors, means that customers can be sure that the product in question has been awarded at least one of 19 sustainability certifications. The outdoor brands bearing the label include Jack Wolfskin, Odlo and Vaude.

More than 16,000 manufacturers, brands and trading companies in over 100 countries currently work with Oeko-Tex. Products and manufacturers certified by Oeko-Tex can be viewed online in the Oeko-Tex Buying Guide.
