Reima is one of 18 companies participating in a European project called Trash-2-Cash, which aims to make life greener and more climate friendly. Under the program, Reima has developed ideas for a children's collection with 100 percent recyclable material, without sacrificing quality. A study referred to by Reima shows a belief among consumers that recycled garments are of poorer quality than new ones. Reima is now presenting proposals for three children's garments with fully recyclable materials developed in collaboration with the University of Helsinki.
