Uniqlo and Torey Industries, long-time strategic partners, are now collaborating on a new project to turn used down jackets and plastic bottles into new clothes. The collection of Ultra Light Down products will appear later this month, initially in Uniqlo's Japanese stores only. The down will be cleansed for use in new down products through a Torey-developed system. Plastic bottles will also be collected and turned into a fast-drying fabric, designed for use in clothing. Uniqlo will introduce Dry-Ex products with recycled polyester from spring/summer 2020.
