Emerald Holding, organizer of the Outdoor Retailer and Surf Expo trade shows, among others, announced that U.S. snowsports and outdoor company K2 Sports is now using Emerald’s Elastic Suite B2B e-commerce and digital merchandising solution for its U.S. and Canada markets. Emerald had just completed the acquisition of PlumRiver Technologies, the former international provider of the Elastic Suite software solution, a few weeks ago.

Emerald says Elastic Suite’s launch represents a major upgrade to K2 Sports’ wholesale e-commerce capabilities in North America. Retailers can now virtually access K2 Sport’s diverse product lines through the latest digital merchandising technology, resulting in a more strategic, streamlined and sustainable wholesale buying process. The new technology platform supports all K2 brand alpine ski products, snowboard products, inline skates, Line skis, Ride snowboards, Atlas snowshoes, Tubbs snowshoes, Backcountry Access products, Madshus skis and Full Tilt ski boots. Through the use of Elastic Suite, all K2 Sports product categories and brands are now presented on a single platform, providing an intuitive virtual interface that allows wholesale buyers to browse, sort, customize and complete orders strategically. Customized digital catalogs also contribute to a more cost-effective and environmentally friendly B2B sales process and are consistent with the sustainability values shared by both K2 and Emerald.

Neither Emerald nor K2 Sports have commented on the use of the digital platform for markets outside of North America at this time.
