An outdoor industry veteran, Steve Fowler, has become the general manager of HDWool, a British supplier of wool sourced from British farmers. He takes the place of Genady Fedotov, who has become a self-employed wool trader, the original business of H.Dawson, parent company of HDWool. Fowler's appointment follows a recent investment in the 131-year-old company by Sky Ocean Ventures, whose mission is to reduce the release of microplastics in the oceans, and by the Innovate UK fund. Fowler worked in recent years as managing director of Bridgedale. He previously ran a British retailer, Wilderness Ways, and worked for The Brasher Boot Company.
