Andre Bachmann will be taking over the leadership of the New Wave Group's subsidiary in Germany from the start of next year, while Karin Ganster is taking up the same function in Austria. They will both replace Holger Hoffmann, who supervised New Wave in both countries until it was decided to split the management of the two entities earlier this year. Hoffmann is leaving at his own request after about 20 years at the company behind Craft and other brands. He has been with the group's German subsidiary since its inception in 1997, after two other assignments at W.L. Gore and Berghaus Deutschland. New Wave said that Craft's annual turnover in Germany amounted to just 200,000 Deutschemarks at the time - the equivalent of about €100,000 - which has grown to a level of €30 million with 66 employees in Germany and Austria. Bachmann has been with New Wave since 2002, as sales representative and then sales manager. Ganster has been working at the company for eleven years, most recently as chief financial officer for Austria and Germany. Hoffmann will remain available as a consultant for two years, and at international level as member of the administrative board.
