Andreas Rudolf, one of the two managing directors of Sport 2000 Germany, has announced that he will not renew his contract. He has worked for the German buying group for the past 13 years, serving most recently as joint managing director as joint managing director alongside Hans-Hermann Deters, overall manager of the group's specialist retail formats. Citing personal reasons, Rudolf decided to resign from his office on June 30, 2020. Rudolf began his career in 1983 as shop manager at Intersport Förschner in Mosbach, Germany. A year later, he moved to Intersport's headquarters as purchasing agent for hardware. In 1987, he was made division manager for Intersport's hardware purchasing department. Since joining Sport 2000, he has been responsible for various product and marketing campaigns. At an early stage, he urged the division of Sport 2000 into generalists and specialists.
