Canada Goose has promoted Ana Mihaljevic from senior vice president of planning and sales operations to chief commercial officer. She will oversee the company's global commercial business while continuing to take charge of sales planning and sales operations. She will be seeking to expand the wholesale channel, the direct-to-consumer (DTC) channel and the company's international presence. Mihaljevic joined Canada Goose in 2015 after about a decade with luxury apparel brands such as Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren and Jones Apparel. Rick Wood, Canada Goose's former CCO, is going to act as executive adviser on key strategic projects. Among other things, he will be working with Baffin, a recent acquisition of the company. Wood has about 20 years' experience in retail, apparel and footwear, having worked for The North Face, Vans and Timberland.
