Gore Wear appointed Erman Aykurt to the position of creative lead on Nov. 1. The 46-year-old was previously a creative director for Puma's sportstyle division. His successor at Puma has not yet been announced. Aykurt has spent the past 20 years in the sporting goods business, working for such companies as Adidas and Converse. At Gore Wear, he is replacing Clemens Deilmann, who has left the company. Aykurt will be responsible for product design, marketing and communication for the Gore Wear brand, which has been part of W.L. Gore & Associates since 1958. The company, well known for the Gore-Tex brand, recorded sales of €2.7 billion last year and is one of the 200 biggest privately owned companies in the U.S.
