Hanwag has appointed Uwe Vernaleken new buyer-in-chief. The 39-year-old mastered in shoe and leather technology and spent six years in the Far East, where he built up the offices of European testing institutes that serve the leather and shoe industry. At Hanwag, he replaces Klaus-Peter Möhrlen, who quit after six years in office.
