In an internal promotion, Ben Rivera has been appointed chief executive of the Leatherman Tool Group. He will continue as brand president of the U.S. company, with which he has been involved for 25 years. Founded in 1983, the Oregon-based company sells multi-purpose tools and other products in 120 countries, with domestic sales representing 55 percent of the turnover. Tim Leatherman, co-founder, remains as chairman. Seasoned executives like Bobbie Parisi and Tim McCool recently joined the company, as we have previously reported.
