Internetstores has added a chief brand officer (CBO) to its management team. Alongside Dr. Hans Dohrmann, Thomas Spengler, Raid Naim, Olivier Rochon and Martin Netinder, Frank Aldorf is now part of the company’s management board. In his new function as CBO, Aldorf is now responsible for the purchasing department of Europe’s leading multichannel supplier for bike and outdoor. Thus, in addition to marketing, brand strategy and people, the purchasing and products department also reports to him. With Aldorf, the company has gained an experienced manager and brand professional. His career began in strategy and communications agencies, where he managed well-known international brands from the automotive, technology and fast moving consumer goods sectors. He then founded a creative management consultancy whose clients included VW and Reebok. For more than twelve years, he has been working for manufacturers in the sports and outdoor industry and looks back on successful stations in the U.S. and Europe with Specialized and Canyon Bicycles. A little more than two years ago, he moved to Internetstores, where he was primarily responsible for the realignment of the brand portfolio and its marketing. In the wake of the company’s strong growth, he is now facing brand new challenges, including interdisciplinary matters within the Signa Sports United Group.
