Joan Solà will start next month in the new position of global sports marketing manager for Salomon and Suunto, based at Salomon's head office in Annecy, France. He will coordinate the work of officials responsible for sports marketing officials in various countries who are responsible for different categories such as general outdoor, trail running, freeski, alpine racing, snowboarding, etc. Solà is a Spanish executive who had previously acted as head coach of the Spanish junior ski team. He joined Salomon in 2001 as sports marketing manager. He has been acting most recently as marketing manager of Amer Sports Iberia, responsible for Salomon as well as Suunto, Atomic, Bonfire and Wilson.
