John McCarvel, who retired as president and chief executive of Crocs last April, has become lead investor and chairman of Xero Shoes, a U.S. company that produces versatile and lightweight performance and recreation sandals. Dennis Driscoll, who joined Xero three years ago and is now acting as its chief product officer, had been previously hired by McCarvel as head of product design.
