Jonathan Petty has been appointed to the position of head of marketing at Osprey, starting on June 26 and replacing François Esmenjaud, who left the company after one year. Petty has worked previously as brand manager at Montane since March 2015, responsible for product management and strategic planning. Petty spent 20 years in the outdoor industry, running the U.K. subsidiary of Salomon and Patagonia. He spent 12 years with Patagonia, four of which as European marketing director, based in France, before moving to London in 2013 to take charge of the U.K. and the Nordic countries. At Osprey, Petty will be working at the company's European headquarters in Poole, England. Just recently, Osprey also presented Christina Halasz as its new marketing manager for Germany. It also appointed Scott Maslen as its new head of operations in Vietnam, responsible for design, development and manufacture of Osprey products in the Asian country. Maslen has held similar roles in Vietnam for Timberland and Columbia Sportswear. He will be based at Osprey's office in Ho Chi Minh City, close to the factories that the brand works with in South Vietnam. Maslen replaces Chris Graham, who is moving from Asia to the U.K. to take up the role of senior vice president for products.
