Keen has appointed Jens Christian Meier as executive vice president in charge of its global value chain, a newly-created role. Meier will drive all aspects of the global value supply chain, from raw materials to the delivery of finished products. He brings Keen more than 35 years of experience in the management of casual, children's and performance footwear brands. He spent more than 20 years at Ecco Footwear in various leadership roles, including that of executive vice president of global manufacturing, supply chain and logistics. Prior to Ecco, he served as chief operating officer at Elefanten Shoes, a children's shoe company. Since March 2015, he had been serving as chief operating officer of Legero Shoes in Austria, where he was also a member of the executive board, leading the whole value chain, from product development to deliveries. His new job started on Dec. 1. Meier is Keen's seventh high-profile hire in the past 12 months. During the last year, the company welcomed Casey Sheahan as president, John Eberle as general manager of outdoor, lifestyle and kids, Christy Saito as vice-president of global product merchandising, outdoor and lifestyle, Tyler LaMotte as vice-president of brand marketing, and Rob Langstaff as international vice-president. Meier will be based at Keen's global headquarters in Portland, Oregon.
